Eating and Drinking at Canal 125 Restaurant
Set upon the Regent’s Canal, Canal 125 is an event venue and restaurant great music and atmosphere. It has a beautiful location, only a short walk from King’s Cross St. Pancras tube station (0.6 mi). Genuinely alfresco dining may be treasured at Canal 125, by picking up an idyllic waterside seat to check out the ducks in the summer time.
This restaurant with a noticeable name serves up award-winning food in a chilled out atmosphere from its perch on 125 Caledonian Road. The excellent atmosphere, people and service, the 2 massive terraces, lovely chill zone with all vintage interior will surely make you feel like home! Live music, private dining area and WiFi are some of the features offered by this exquisite place.
Function room capacities of up to 300 persons are available, including BBQ facilities, a fully stocked bar with canapés or Sangria for an amazing sit down feast. Upstairs there are often private parties, and if you have the chance of attending to one of them you will surely recommend the place to everyone! The two floors upstairs offer plenty of room for live music, food and drink, beneath the red walls, crystal chandeliers and white tablecloths contrasting to the bar.
Here you may have a casual dinner with some nice fish and chips at the terrace when the weather is peaceful, followed by drinks at the available bar which remains open all through the night. There are classic cocktails & plenty of imported beers for the bright-eyed locals, to be accompanied by pancakes or even a generous traditional roast. The modern European and British cuisine can be experienced for an average approximate price of £60 for two people (cash and cards are accepted).
There is an amazing weekly Sunday Roast, as well, which includes dishes such as English Topside of (Aged) Beef, Half a Chicken, All with Honey Parsnips, Rosemary Roast, Peas, the Special Red Wine Gravy (the best one you will ever have), Vegetarian Nut Roast with Basil Cream Sauce, Children’s Mini Roast or Ice Cream. The staff is very smiley and considerate and the place is lovely for a quiet meal with an excellent fish pie as well. The interior has its own appeal, relaxed ambience and Brit food such as game pâté with pear chutney, coriander & lime salsa, or feta & olive salad. Canal 125 also teamed up with local supplier Big Apple Hot Dogs.
So much delicious food will surely make a great time. The crayfish and spinach frittata on a balsamic bed of rocket, the succulent dressed carpaccio of beef, the sauce that manages to combine basil cream with a citric zest, the Statua Bianco are all exquisite dishes that were made quite affordable. The improbable ensembles of Limoncello make for an original selection with visual tastes and cogent impressions of food and drink.
The service is good too and you can also profit from the balcony area for smoking. The friendly Canal bar is the great place to make lots of friends with whom to taste the delicious food, overlooking the canal when the weather is nice.
